Akrodha Paramananda

Śrīla Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura

Noble Nityānanda Prabhu, the personification of supreme transcendental bliss, is never angry. Free from false ego, He walks through the city.

He goes from door to door of the lowly and fallen souls and distributes the holy name in the form of mahā-mantra.

With straw between his teeth, He calls out to everyone He sees: "Please buy Me by shouting 'Gaurahari'!"

When He says that, Nityānanda Prabhu rolls on the ground and appears like a golden mountain rolling in the dust.

Locana dāsa says: "That sinful person who does not develop attachment to such an avatāra just comes and goes [uselessly in the endless cycle of birth and death]."

Oh Lord, nothing else can be considered 'mine'. You alone are my father, friend and brother.

My friends, wife, sons and daughters are all Your servants. My efforts for her are based on this relationship.

With the understanding that wealth, family members, home and ?? I protect yours only as a servant.

I will earn money for your service and bear the expenses of your household.

I don't know what is good or what is bad - I just serve. I am merely a guardian of property in your household.

According to Your will I exercise my senses of hearing, seeing, smelling and eating.

I don't do anything for my own pleasure anymore. Bhaktivinoda says, "Your happiness is the essence."
